For your consideration is a set of vintage Leeds: Disney: Minnie Mouse Salt & Pepper Shakers produced between 1944-1954. Leeds was the distributor and not a manufacturer of these items like most thought. The Leeds Pottery pieces were produced by Ludiwici Celadon for America Bisque, and other companies. This pair of Minnie Mouse shakers can be found on page 159 of "American Bisque, Collector's gide With Prices" by Mary Jane Giacomini, copyright date 1994. The pair has its original corks on the bottom, and most of the paint is underglaze. However, there is some of the red & black paint that was cold painted on as a trim and has flaked or chipped off. (Does not take away from these cuties displaying well in any Disney or Salt & Pepper collection.) They are marked on the backs of each, but it is very very faint and hard to read. On the back of one you can faintly make out the word "Disney." They are in very good & vintage collectible condition. Approx.: 3 1/4"T each.
