For your consideration is a vintage porcelain blue transferware "Washington Bicentennial Plate" titled & displays: "Surrender Of Cornwallis At Yorktown" collector's plate. As noted! It displays Cornwallis surrendering to Washington. It has a lovely blue & white floral design that encircles the scene in the center. It is marked on the back: (Daughters of the American Revolution symbol), George Washington's (stamped) Signature, "Washington Bicentennial Plates", Sponsored and Copyrighted 1932, By The N.S.D.A.R., Memorial Continental Hall, Washington, D.C." Wedgwood, Etruria, England, (Sole Importers Symbol). It is also impressed or stamp into the porcelain: Wedgwood, Made In England, 11051(?). Approx.: 10"Rd.
CONDITION: Except for 2 small chips on the back bottom, this plate is in very good & vintage collectible condition. (Please excuse the white spot on the front of the plate. It is a glare from the camera flash! Very sorry!)
