For your consideration is a vintage 1943 McCoy #2 - 2 Qt reddish brown with a raised leaf & green bean style pattern encircling the pot & lid. It is marked on the bottom "McCoy," but it is very hard to read. The knob on the top was done in a two tone brown with a shiny darker brown glaze encircling the sides, but the top is done in a dull & darker brown glaze. (For more information please see pages 58-59 of "The Collector's Encyclopedia of McCoy Pottery" by Sharon and Bob Huxford, copyright 1980, updated values 1991.) Approx.: 7"T (to top of knob on lid) X 6 1/2"Rd (Not including handle); (Handle): 3"L X 1 1/4"W.
CONDITION: There is light crazing overall! The lid has a few little chips on the underneath and a 1/4" Rd dark brown glaze spot, that apparently, was a drip from the dull darker brown glaze applied to the sides of the knob on the top that happened during manufacturing. In very good & older condition. Great for a collection, display or for using!
