For your consideration is a darling vintage 1930s-40s mechanical clown valentine that reads on the front: "Ta-ra-ra-doom-de-ay, This is St. Valentines' Day-So don't be blue, For see what I have for you." It displays a colorful clown supposedly beating on a big drum & holding a valentine in one hand. (When you move the valentine card in his hand up and down his other arm moves to look like he is beating on his drum.) Approx.: 7"L X 4 1/2"W.
CONDITION: The back as discolored or darkened from age, and there is a approximate 1"L tear on the bottom near his foot on the left side. It seems to have been lightly glued so the tear won't go any further. You can hardly see it from the front unless it is pointed out to you. (Pictures show both the front & back area of the tear!) Not too bad and only mentioned for accuracy!
