For your consideration is a vintage early 1900's valentine that displays a big button top shoe with a man in a yellow & black plaid suit next to it. Above them is a big red heart & it reads on the front of the heart: "No Lace is on this Valentine, it hasn't any shine, Butt-On the whole you see my Sole until the Last is Thine!" The side of the shoe has 3 small black round ball shaped plastic buttons. Approx.: 6 1/2"L X 4"W.
CONDITION: This Valentine has some wear on it, especially on the back. On the back there is a piece of pipe cleaner, original to the card, that holds the button on the card. It has broken in one spot & lightly glued back on so the button doesn't fall off. A lot of discoloration on the back and a little on the front from age & handling! There is writing on the back, also. (This Valentine is so old & so unique or unusual! They do not make them this way anymore!) Great for any Valentine album or collection! (Please see photos!)
