Vanderveen, Loet (Dutch 1921-2015) ceramic and bronze deer sculpture. Gilt bronze to the deer's antlers and tail. Incised to the underside with green felt pads. Weight Approx., 2lbs.

Loet Vanderveen was born in Rotterdam, Holland in 1921. Vanderveen grew up near a zoo, and that was were he developed his love for animals.As an adult, he lived in various places in Europe and the United States as a fashion designer, but eventually moved to to California where he spent most of the time creating bronze sculptures of animals
