Description: Jules Leon Butensky (Russian 1871-1947) by Roman Bronze Works sculpture, "Universal Peace", circa 1900. The sculpture depicts a man breaking swords with his hammer. The Lion of Judah is to his left. Engraved "Peace" to the base of the sculpture and "Shalom" in Hebrew. Mounted to a marble base. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City owns the life sized model of this work.
