Description: An outstanding 2nd Empire French Gilt .950 silver and cut crystal encrier with dual inkwells retailed by Falize. The lids with eagle finials, the reticulated border cast with a Pegasus and winged bull, encircled with a portrait medallion, sitting atop ball feet headed by a mask. The glass likely by Baccarat. Circa 1850. With .950 French sterling silver standard marks.

Condition: Very good, presenting very nicely. With original liners. And no apparent losses to the silver. A couple minor chips to the glass.
