This delightful well known vintage design (unsigned) is an early Mexican piece only stamped "Made in Mexico" on back. It's not marked sterling or silver but has tested strongly for sterling and is circa 1930s to early 1940s. The handmade old style "C" clasp is wide and secure–––the pin part has a few kinks in it but they actually help with the closure! Considering how long this wonderful brooch has lived, it's in very good vintage condition......there are some very fine scratches (visible with a jeweler's loupe) and several small dents but they don't detract from the beauty of this brooch. I love the simplicity of this beautiful design! The brooch was bought at an estate sale in Los Angeles where I had purchased many vintage Mexican pieces. This piece has a good polish on it with a nice soft aged silver patina. The brooch will arrive in a pretty gift pouch!
