This magnificent 1920's silver plate cocktail shaker and six liquor stems is by Wm Rogers & Son in Paris pattern.
The cocktail shaker features a strainer spout and unthreaded cap. Sides are fluted; a classic Art Deco design circles the shaker top, and lid has a small band of detail at the base of the knob. The shaker is insulated, and could be used for hot coffee or tea (in fact, the piece is sometimes offered as a coffee pot). It measures 9 inches tall (the lid adds another 2 inches); it is 5 inches in diameter at its widest, and 9 inches spout to handle. It weighs a story 2 pounds (including the lid).
Glasses have a "lady leg" shaped stem and matching Art Deco design around the rim. The glasses stand 5 inches with 2 1/4 inch bowl and 2 inch base. Each glass weighs 4 1/2 oz.
Condition: For a set that's nearly 100 years old, pieces are in really great condition. The are some scratches, and some spots of stubborn tarnish (see photos), but no dents or chipping. The interiors have very little staining. The silver plate has a lovely patina to it; leave it aged or polish to it's former glory if desired.
All pieces are marked "Paris", with an anchor, followed by "WM Rogers & Son,"; the shaker bottom is also stamped "5220" and "40 oz", and the inside rim of the lid is stamped "PAT'D JAN.-11-1927." The cordial glasses are stamped "5221" and "I S" inside squares (I believe this is for International Silver Co.).
