19thC French Majolica 13pc Asparagus Set - image 1 of 11

This stunning (13) Piece Majolica Asparagus Set from St. Clement, Luneville, purportedly designed by Emile Galle, circa 1870, with relief molded asparagus and basketweave decoration, each piece with painted letter marks (probably decorator initials) on base, including: Serving basket with handle and pierced base, 7" high, 12" x 6"; and (12) Plates, 8 3/8" sq.

One plate has repaired break (undetectable), one plate has a hairline crack, one plate has chip on bottom ring, three plates have glaze frits. Colors of plates and hand-painted designs vary per piece.
