During the 1960's and 1970's, I enjoyed painting in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. During that time I took art lessons from a couple of local artists and eventually classes at a nearby university. This painting was done during that time. It is a landscape painted in oil on stretched canvas. The subject reminds of the backroad where I walk. There is a dirt road with mud holes and a bridge. Trees and wildflowers are on the banks of the creek. The frame is a distressed gold and dark green. The painting measures 15" x 10 1/2". The linen liner and frame bring the overall size to 20" x 15 1/2". There are a few scars on the custom frame.
