This huge platter measures 15 1/2" x 19 1/2". It is transfer printed in a nice cobalt blue. The center has a botanical design. A floral patter is also used on the border. The bottom is marked BWM ARCADIA. The printed registry mark for the pattern is Aug-Sep 23, 1880. BMW is the Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co. Staffordshire Pottery. There are also impressed marks along with the printed marks. There is one flow on the front just inside the border. Could be a manufacturing flaw. There is lots of wear. No chips or cracks. An unusual and lovely large platter.
