This lovely majolica bowl measures 8 1/2" in diameter and 3 1/4" deep. The inside is the wonderful pink used on majolica. The outside of the bowl is molded shells giving the bowl a scalloped edge. The colors are primarily pink and green. The bottom of the bowl is marked with the circular Etruscan Majolica mark with the Griffin, Smith, and Hill monogram in the middle. There is an MS underneath the circle. This mark was used 1879-1889 by the company in Phoenixville, PA. This bowl is crazed. There is one very minor tight hairline on the side and one chip on the outside. The photographs show these anomalies. Very good condition for majolica.
