This is a plate (5 3/8" in diameter) from a child’s tea set. It is Aesthetic design Transfer printed in red (pink). The pattern is Miss May. It is often referred to as May with Apron. The girl is holding her apron full of eggs. The bottom is marked Charles Allerton & Sons England. This was made by Charles Allerton & Sons pottery circa 1880. There are some printing irregularities but no chips or cracks.
