This pitcher is 3-dimensional much like majolica. The shape is that of a tree with bark. It has a white base with the leaves decorated with blue which flows. The 2 birds on each side of the pitcher are decorated with brown and pink enamels. The eggs in the nest are enameled in brown. Part of the leaves are enameled in green. The handle is shaped like a limb. The pitcher measures 6 1/4" tall. The soft paste is susceptible to damage just as majolica. There is a tight stable hairline down one side of the pitcher. There are several chips on the base. There are small flakes around the rim of the pitcher. It is heavily crazed. The handle has a tiny flow in the glaze. Sounds terrible but this pitcher is wonderful. There is a raised registry mark on the bottom. I cannot read it.
