This large pitcher measures 7 1/2" tall. This pitcher is shown in Katz Encyclopedia of Majolica, page 94. It is called Wild Rose on Tree Bark. The body of the pitcher is brown and looks like tree bark. There are green leaves and pink wild roses on each side of the pitcher. The inside of the pitcher is pale green. There are chips around the rim of the pitcher. There really don't detract since the pitcher is brown. There is also a tight stable hairline. Really a nice piece.
