This is a single flow blue 9" soup plate. The blue is a beautiful flow blue. The edge is scalloped and outlined with beading. The design is embossed with 1/4" scrolls. The soup plate is marked, but the mark is blurred. The pattern is MELBOURNE and the maker is W. H. Grindley. According to Petra Williams "Flow Blue China" this pattern is circa 1900. This soup has two tiny chips on the top side and one tiny chip on the underside. It is crazed. Still lovely.
