This small (6 3/4" in diameter) majolica plate has a green leaf in the center of a scalloped rim. The background behind the leaf is yellow with a mottled brown as the back of the black. The rim is green and pink. There no chips or cracks. Unusual for a majolica plate of this age. I have another larger piece which I have identified as Mayer. In 1876, Joseph S. Mayer established the Arsenal pottery because of its proximity to the State Arsenal, Trenton, New Jersey.
