This is a very early tin. It was most likely made by Barringer, Wallis & Manners for the C.W.S. Biscuit company. The shape is a Roman handkerchief box. The hinged lid has a Roman scene with men and women. The front and back have still life fruit. The sides are decorated with pink roses. The bottom is marked with the C.W.S. advertising. The tin measures 7" x 8" x 2 1/2". Wear is very resonable for the age. Displays quite well.
