During the Victorian era, Horseshoes were often used as the symbol of Good Luck. This lovely tin is made in that shape. The bottom is marked C.W.S. Biscuits Crumpsall Cardiff. The image on the lid is a fox hunter mounted on his horse. The hunting dogs are racing around the sides. The tin measures 5" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2". There is wear consistent with age. Very nice early tin.
