The celluloid cover on this album is lovely with the lavender flowers within ornate scrollwork on a marblelized background. It is rare to find floral pages in an album with decorated covers. So it was a surprise to open this album and find the 6 chromolithograph pages. The spine covering is loose but can be easily regaled. The catch is intact. The celluloid is in very good condition with no cracks. The book has a total of 14 heavy double photo frame pages. It will accommodate 16 cabinet photos as well as 48 Carte-de-Visite (CDV) photos. Sadly there are some problems on the inside. Many of the pages are heavily stained. The photo frames have tears where photos have been inserted and removed. The floral pages seem to have escaped that damage. The back cover page is loose. This is not part of the cover. In spite of its issues, this is a lovely item and can be quite presentable with a bit of loving care.
