Small Black Papier Mache Sewing Box, Painted Top

This small box is papier mache with black lacquer. The top is painted with flowers and green leaves. It is a very small box, possibly meant to be carried in a purse. It measures 3" in diameter and 1" deep. The inside is black and filled with thread and a small pin cushion. There is even a needle in the cushion. This box has been used. There is chipping to the lacquer and the paint.
