This 19th century plate is marked Staffordshire England. Similar plates were made by Charles Allerton. The edge of the plate has the alphabet letters in raised. The center is transfer printed with an Aesthetic period design. The center has a rider mounting a horse. There are four views around the center showing riders in various states of riding or falling from the horse. The plate measures 6 3/4" in diameter. The plate is crazed with light discoloration. There is a tight stable hairline from one edge.
