I have developed an interest and appreciation for the wonderful decorated pages from Photo Albums of the Victorian Era. Nearly all of the albums with these colorful pages were made in the United Kingdom during the Victorian Period. The covers are generally leather and very plain. When the albums are in poor condition, I like to salvage the lovely pages for re-purposing_ mats, art projects, and scrap-booking. This page is from one of these albums. The page measures 7 1/2" x 10". The opening accommodates a cabinet sized photograph or other similar size. (5 1/2" x 4).. White Wild Roses and Blue Forget-me-knots surround the opening. Along with the florals, there is a distant background landscape, characteristic of the aesthetic movement. Nice condition.
