I recently purchased several pieces of this pattern. I will be listing them over the next weeks. Many pieces will be listed and/or priced separately to accommodate those looking to add to a set. If multiple pieces are purchased, there will be discounts as well as combined shipping. This is a pair of soup plates (bowls) measuring 8 3/4" in diameter. The edge is gilded with a dark blue band. The border has a raised design and is decorated with scrolls, vines and flowers which spill out of the borders into the wells. The bottoms of the plates are marked with the pattern name ELSIE and a 1893-1902 mark of the Hulme & Christie Sutherland pottery, Fenton, Staffordshire. There is also an English registry mark, 243314 (1890-1895). There is very light crazing on both. One has considerable staining. The gilded edges are worn. The price is for the pair.
