This canister is square with knob handles on the lid. This shape was characteristic of the A. E. Hull Pottery Company. The decal is called "Migrating Bluebirds in Winter". It was a popular decal on canister sets, but not widely used on dinnerware. It is increasingly difficult to find Bluebird canisters in decent condition. They were used and often broken. This is the SUGAR CANISTER with the word sugar written in cursive in the color black. The canister measures 4 1/2" square and 9" tall including the lid. This canister is in very good condition with heavy crazing, and minor staining. There is a tight hairline that can be seen inside the back wall. There is a tiny nick on the canister. The lid is heavily crazed and stained. I am listing other pieces of this set.
