Note: i received this message from a rubylane customer. “Dear Judith McAllister,
about the "Murano art glass duck" you have for sale.
I thought you might like to know that I have the exact same duck
and mine has its original sticker on the bottom.
This is NOT a Murano piece but a mid century figurine by
Frederick Cooper.”. Art Glass was extremely popular in the mid 20th century. I would date this piece to that time period. It does have a paper label "MADE IN MURANO ITALY". The glass is a large chunk of glass and quite heavy. The metal head is gilded. The head fits over the neck and is glued in place. The head will come off if picked up by the head. The duck measures 10" long and 5 1/2" tall to the top of the head. The glass is clear and lovely. The head is quite detailed. Very good condition.
