This soup plate measures 10 1/2" in diameter. The central patter is a romantic scene name Palestine. Several makers made patterns named Palestine. This one was made by J. & M.P. Bell & Co. Bell was a Glasgow Pottery. This is a 19th century mark. The border is floral with a busy intricate pattern. The center has palm trees, mountains, a domed building and people. The plate is crazed, but has no chips or cracks.
