I buy and enjoy the tole painted paper mache items of the early 20th century. I have several items, but I have never owned a magazine wall rack. Because it is shaped like a lyre, it may have been invented to hold sheet music. There are cut-outs on the front panel. Both the front and back panels are decorated with red poppies and white daisies. There is ribbon for hanging and to hold the front panel in place. This ribbon certainly is not original. The overall size is 14 3/4" x 11 1/2". It is hinged and folds flat. It is in very good condition. There is some chipping of the red paint on the poppies on the front left. There are two small chips on the back base.
