This very early tin is probably European originally holding biscuits or chocolates. There are no marks as to the company distributing the tin. The colors are various shades of gray and black. The image on the lid is titled, 'SHOE THE MARE". The front and back have the very desirable image of "DIGNITY & IMPUDENCE". These are images of paintings by Edwin Landseer. What could be better than horses and dogs. The tin measures The tin measures 8" x 4 5/8" x 3 1/8". The lid is a pull off lid. There are scratches and runs. The bottom and the inside of the lid are very rusty.
