CASTELAR was a pattern of dinnerware made by T. & R. Boote, Waterloo Staffordshire England Pottery. The pottery closed in 1906. I have seen this pattern in brown as well. This is an oval platter measuring 15" x 11 1/2". The edge has a raised molded design and very worn gilding. It is decorated with a small green floral design. The bottoms are marked CASTELAR. The platter has no tight hairline crack from the edge (shown in photo). There is wear consistent with use and age. I will be listing other pieces of this set separately.
