CASTELAR was a pattern of dinnerware made by T. & R. Boote, Waterloo Staffordshire England Pottery. The pottery closed in 1906. I have seen this pattern in brown as well. This is a set of 9 SOUP plates, 10" in diameter. The edge has a raised molded design and very worn gilding. Each soup is decorated with a small green floral design. The bottoms are marked CASTELAR. 6 of these plates are in very good condition with wear expected for the age. 2 of the plates each has a single chip on the edge, pictured. A third plate is stained in the center. The price is for all 9 plates. I would consider selling less than 9. I will be listing other pieces of this set separately.
