This is an antique British pewter teapot marked H.M. Broadmead & Co Sheffield 748 5. The 5 giving the capacity of the teapot. The sides are ridged with a lovely shape. The lid has similar ridges with an acorn finial. The handle and the spout are decorated as well. There are 4 feet. In looking closely, you can see where two of the feet have been repaired a long time ago. Due to this, the pot does not sit straight. The hinge on the lid is in very good condition. There are a few minor dents near and on the base. The teapot measures 8 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" from handle outside to the end of the spout.
