This flatback Staffordshire piece is shown on page 281 of "Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875 Book Three". It is 8 1/2" tall. One side has a tall open chimney while the other has a turret. A guard is standing at the right. There is great color and lots of detail. The only problem is an old repair on the chimney. This can be seen from the back. This is an nice example for anyone collecting early Staffordshire figures.
