Brown Transferware ABC Plate CRUSOE At Work

This lovely plate measures 7 1/4" in diameter. It is printed in brown with a scene of Robinson Crusoe weaving a basket. It is titled CRUSOE AT WORK. The brown transfer printing is highlighted with red enamel with touches of blue. The bottom is marked Rd. No. 69963 B.P. Co. Tunstall England. The registry number is 1887. B.P.Co is the Brownhills Pottery Co. Staffordshire England. This is a 1872-96 mark. The condition of this plate is very good. There is a chip on the edge, front and back.
