This early tin dates to 1888. It is one of a series of three, Songster 1889 and Seaside 1890. The bottom is marked Huntley & Palmers Biscuits Reading & London. There is also a B & M Pat mark at the base of one side. The tin measures 5 1/4" on a side and 6 1/2" tall. The lid and each of four sides has a sailor with a flag. There is lots of age wear and minor dents. This is still a lovely rare tin for a collector.
