This is a great light blue transferware pedestal bowl with moulded handles. The bowl is 10 3/4" in diameter. It is marked with a blue printed mark on the bottom with a rider on a horse and STATUE as the pattern name. According to Vol 11 of Dictionary of Blue & White Printed Pottery, Statue was made by Scott Brothers & Co. 1786-96. I don't know if this is the same or not. The center design is a romantic scene with the main figure being a statue of a man on a horse. There are seven cartouches in the floral border, some with landscapes_ others with urns of flowers. The bowl is beautiful. There is a large chip on the pedestal base. There is roughness to the rim with a couple of tiny chips. There are some glaze runs or areas where the glaze is not even.
