This early rare British biscuit tin is marked inside the lid, Huntley & Palmers Biscuits. The name is Delft due to the blue and white images on the lid and all the sides. The lid has a sled being pushed by a ice skater. The tin is octagonal with the corners being paneled. There are Dutch scenes on all sides. The images are framed in a gold-toned edges. There are block feet on the corners. The tin measures 7 3/8" x 5 3/8" 4". The lid is hinged. The images on the outside are in very good condition with little oxidation. The inside shows extensive wear.
