This Murano glass bowl was originally meant to be an ash tray. These glass pieces were very popular in the 1960's. This one is shaped like a heart or large leaf. The edge is clear. The bowl has gold over amber. When viewing the bottom the amber is more red. The bottom has a polished pontil with a tiny chip on the edge of the base. The more obvious flaw is the bruise on the rim. The crack or bruise is very visible but the glass is there. The bowl measures 9 1/2" x 8" x 2 3/4".
