This style wall rack was popular during Victorian times. The wood (possibly walnut) is stained with a dark stain. The front board is hinged at the bottom and attacked with chains at the top to make a pocket for hold, papers, letters, or magazines. The front is carded as well as the leaf design shape on the back board. The overall size is 19 1/2' x 13 1/2". The chains can be adjusted for the extension distance from the wall. The wood is in good condition. There are a few spots on the front.
