This rare British biscuit tin is one of the earliest I have ever had. It was made in 1888 by Barringer Wallis & Manners for the Huntley & Palmers Biscuit company. The bottom of the tin is stamped with the Huntley & Palmers logo. The tin is primarily red and green. The top and sides have winter coaching scenes reminiscent of Christmas. The corners have the HP monogram. This tin is name Four In Hand. The tin is quite worn. The hinges are good. The hasp on the front is missing. The tin measures 6" x 3 5/8" x 1 3/4".
