It appears Ideal School Supply Company has made school supplies since the early 1900's and is currently still in business. This is an envelop of pages entitled BIRDS TO COLOR Drawn from Nature by Bess Bruce Cleaveland. It is marked IDEAL SCHOOL SUPPLY COMPANY CHICAGO, ILL. The envelop appears to be from the 1920-30 era. Inside are 9 individual pages with birds in their habitat printed in black outline. These were made to be colored. They are so beautiful, I think they would make a wonderful grouping framed in simple black frames. Each page measures 8 7/8" x 6". The birds are: Goldfinch, Blue Bird, Redstart, Robin, Blue Jay, Oriole, Kingfisher, Meadowlark, Tanager. There should have been a 10th page, the Cardinal. There are even suggestions for coloring. The envelop is worn, but the pages are excellent condition.
