This biscuit tin was made for Huntley & Palmers Biscuit Co. in 1909 by Huntley Boorne & Stevens. The lithographed tin has a pull-off lid (fits nicely). There were hinges on one end, but these are missing. The spines of seven books are the top of the tin. The book titles are : Gardens Old and New, The Poems of John Keats, Giovanni Battista, Love Letters of a Musician, Rubayat of Omar Khayam, Macaulays Essays and Queen of Hearts. The bookends are simulated mahogany with a scalloped motif. The tin measures 4" x 8 1/2" x 4". There are no dents. The lithograph has several areas missing. Nevertheless it is a lovely tin and displays well.

The heat is on here in Texas. Today was "stifling". A good day to stay indoors and shop.
