Circa 1900 Colman's Mustard Tin, Large, Fisherman on Pier, Rough Sea
This is a very early mustard tin. The label on the inside reads Colman's Bull's Head Superfine Mustard Warranted Pure. The tin measures 9 1/2" s 7 1/2" x 4 1/2". The top is lithographed with a pier scene with several fishermen looking out at the Rough Seas. The sides have wonderful seascapes. The rounded edge of the lid has clouds. The corners sport a shell design. The inside has a partition. Originally it probably had an inside lid as well. There are several scratches in testament of it long existence. The size makes this a great box for storing keepsakes. It has a masculine look for the mail office.
