This soup plate measures 10 1/2" in diameter. The design is transfer printed in dark blue. The flowers and palms are highlighted in enameled colors. This plate is not marked. However, I have other pieces of this pattern marked MILAN and the initials E.U. & M. The soup was made 1860-61 by the Ellis, Unwin & Mountford Staffordshire Potteries. The plate is in excellent condition. There is s tiny manufacturing flaw on the edge, nick under the glaze.
