I have listed and sold may chromolithograph photograph album pages specifying that they make great mats. I also have pages from the 1865 Morris Butterfly Book listed. This listing is a combination. The butterfly print is is a colored plate from the book_ A History of British Butterflies by The Rev. F.O. Morris, B.A. published in London by Groombridge and Sons, Paternoster Row 1865. Rev. Morris was a member of the Ashmolean Society and life member of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. The page measures 6" x 9 3/4". The butterfly is the Plate 34, PAINTED LADY. The print is somewhat darkened with age, but suitable for framing. The album page measures 10 1/2" x 7 3/4" with an opening sized for a cabinet photograph. The color decoration is of green leaves on branches. They make a good partner. The mat is also darkened. I am selling these together. I have Morris print is intact, not cut. The larva stage is hidden by the mat.
