This frame is most unique with outstanding craftsmanship. The frame itself measures 9 1/2" by 12". The photograph opening is 3 3/4" x 5 3/4". It was made for a cabinet photo circa 1900. It currently has a cabinet photograph of 3 children in Victorian dress. There is a domed top. The open grain wood is framed with narrow wood strips. I cannot identify the open grain wood_ it almost appears to be cork. This background is inlaid with solid wood in a bamboo pattern. The contrast is beautiful. There are two block feet. The back is wood with a wood stand. The rotating wood tabs made changing the photograph easy. It will accommodate a 4" x 6" photo. Someone has added a tab for hanging. Excellent condition.
