This vintage print is marked J. Gould on the bottom. Below the Gould mark there is an SZL in a circle, the mark of the Sidney Z. Lucas art entrepreneur of New York City 1920-60. John Gould (1804-1881) produced ornithological artwork. This print is of parakeets. The print measures 9" x 11". I suspect the bottom has been trimmed for the SZL logo is on the very edge. The lovely frame is a value in itself. The vintage wood frame measures 11 3/4" x 13 3/4" x 2 1/2". The frame dates to the first half of the 20th century as well. Together the print and the frame would make a great addition to your home decor.
