This is a single tea plate, part of a children's brown transferware tea set. The pattern is named AVONA. The plate is marked with a registry number dating this pattern to January 15, 1881. The maker is the Staffordshire pottery Holmes, Stonier & Hollinshead located in Hanley. It is decorated with an Aesthetic brown transfer design featuring a windmill. The plate measures 5 1/8" in diameter. I have 6 plates available, all in very good condition. 3 are marked, 3 are not. The price is for a single plate. You may purchase 1 or more. I will be listing other pieces of this set separately. If the whole set is purchased, the price can be negotiated.
